Questions about our worksheets
Frequently asked questions
Initially, you will have to consider two points.
Firstly, how much time you have available, as your assistance and guidance will be needed. You will also be able to judge after the first one or two worksheets how much time you and your child will need to set aside. Ideally, you should try to do a worksheet two or three times a week.
The second consideration is your child’s schedule. If they attend preschool or participate in other activities such as sport or dancing, there will be days when your child is just too tired to do a worksheet properly. Once you have worked out how often you can do a worksheet, stick to the schedule.
That depends on how much time you both have available, and how well your child copes with the work. At the beginning, you may find one worksheet takes up your allotted time. As your child progresses, they may manage two or three worksheets in the same time. This will depend on whether the worksheet introduces new concepts, or is practicing previously learned skills. Aim for one to begin with, and add another one if your child seems to be finishing quickly.
In terms of learning the alphabet, counting, drawing, writing and reading, basic mathematics and some general knowledge, the workbooks cover the basic curriculum for the relevant age groups. A well rounded education, however, should include physical activities, arts and crafts, music, dancing and singing and other cultural activities.
Once you have downloaded the workbook, you have easy and constant access to it. You can print as many copies of each worksheet as you like, whenever it suits you. Because practice is so important at this stage of learning, you can print out additional copies as you need them. We felt that more people have a computer and printer at home than have a copier.
Most of the worksheets are in black and white to encourage your child to color them in. Coloring in helps develop the fine motor skills your child will need when he or she starts to write and draw. Your child can also personalize the worksheets, use their creativity, and ‘take ownership’ of their work by coloring each worksheet in. Unless the instructions specifically say that the pictures must be colored in, your child does not have to color every single worksheet in. We also know that most people have access to a black and white printer – and it’s a lot less costly than printing in full color!
The worksheets have been designed to fit a standard A4 page, but some paper sizes or printer configurations may throw it out a bit.
Please check the ‘Fit to Page’ box on the Print screen.
Once your purchase has been approved, you will have immediate access to the respective download link to the workbooks and bonuses. We have two versions available US English and UK English and you’ll have access to both versions.
